Xmas eating …when does it stop?!

December 19th, 2010

Just felt the need to write ladies, it’s always a difficult time of year for slimming/dieting/maintaining a healthy weight… so how do you do it?

I never manage to walk past the cakes, chocs and other treats available at work, I always feel my hand dipping in to collect something sweet to munch on!

Anyone have any tips to share with us? If so message me and I will post your suggestion up.

Cheese ‘crackers’ sampled at the PCOS picnic

October 2nd, 2010

It’s from “The Vegetarian Low-Carb Diet Cookbook” by Rose Elliot.

List Price: 14.99 GBP
New From: 7.44 In Stock
Used from: 7.44 In Stock

Ingredients: 225g (8oz) Cheddar Cheese, finely grated. (That’s all!)

Prep: 5 mins. Cooking: 30 mins.

1. Preheat oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6. Cover a large baking sheet with baking parchment.

2. Put little piles of grated cheese on the paper, allowing room around each for spreading. You will probably have to do them in several batches.

3. Bake for about 8-10 mins, or until they are golden brown and when you try to lift one off the paper it feels firm. If it is bendy and collapses, pop them back in the oven for a minute or two longer and test again.

4. Cool on the paper, then lift off with a spatula and serve with dips. They keep well in an airtight container.

3.2 carbs and 56.8g protein for the whole quantity. Negligible carbs and 2.4g protein per crisp.

That’s it! It really is that simple.

Allow enough time both for these too cook fully and to cool completely.

Running the half marathon..

September 18th, 2010

Hi all,

I am thinking about running the half marathon next year… am I mad? Should I do it? Have any larger ladies managed to run the 13 miles without collapsing in a heap..which is what I expect to do!

If you have, or want to do some training with another born again running beginner… then get in touch.

Found this site for ladies with extra curves who need the best sportswear

Hope all are well
